Default Low idle help

This doesnt seem like a big deal but i want to make sure it isnt. Ocassionally i'll start the jeep and it will idle fine but if i put my foot on the gas it will rev and then instead of going back to idling it will die...it just does it every so often but it will do it over and over..but if i leave it sitting for an hour or two and go back out the problem disappears...any advice on why it does this would be much appreciated...thanks

That sounds odd. It might be your CPS..How many miles? Mine would drive fine for a couple of days then I would go to turn it over and it just cranked and cranked but never turned over. It was really hard to dignose because it never threw a code, and the problem would go away for a week or two. After a little bit it just started to stall regularly. Then after stalling I would wait for an hour then it would turn over no problem. Then the cps finally died. New cps, no problems since (knock on wood). I also had a rough idle..still do, but better with the new cps.

Could be a bad O2 sensor as well, but i'm not a familiar with O2 sensors I think you can test it with just a volt meter...not exactly sure how.
