Default Lost & Found: Snazzy Tip on Checking AW4 Fluid Level Cold

Many moons ago, I came across a really helpful tip form a user and cannot find it at all. He detailed a way, based on his experience, that he got the AW4 fluid level just right at cold idle. I've checked my notes, my documents, my bookmarks and even my way back Google history.

Nada.

Does anyone have any clue what I'm referring to? The only thing I can remember is he mentioned never having a transmission related failure with this technique and "better safe than sorry."
