I'm getting some new tires put on my stock rims in a few days.
I decided to skip getting new rims and refurbished mine.
They looked pretty scary but came out great afterwards.
I used a rust removing gel that works great and wire brushes cleaning them
up surprisingly well.
After cleaning them, I primered and painted them.
I used a good rust proof gloss black paint.
They practically look brand new.
By the way, to paint rims on some old tires, try this.
Cut paper towel into strips and wedge it lightly into and around the rims with a screwdriver.
Go all the way around the tire like this and you can be free to paint the rims
without getting paint on the tires.

Looks good, not hard to do. And those are the good steelies to get. They have the better offset, but they still arent offset far enough out. How big of tire you plan on running? My 31's with these rims rubbed on the LCA's

Nice job, looks great. What is the back space on those?

Stock rim has a backspacing of 5.5 inches.
I'm putting on some 235/75R15's on.
I'm taking a chance on a budget and ordered some
GT radial Adventuro MT's.
Cool looking rubber.

Sweet! I love refurbishing stuff rather than just throwing money at it and buying new. That's the Jeep way. More Americans should be doing that and we'd have alot less problems in this country. Good looking tire too. Way to go man!
