Looking for a Repair manual / FSM for an '01
I've got an FSM for my bike, and love it. Do you guys know where to get the best deal on one for an '01 XJ Sport?
Alternately, if there's a good Chilton's or Haynes or something like it (I couldn't find it) for that year that's pretty specific (I like details up to and including wiring diagrams if available), let me know and I'll go look them up.
But $90+ seems a bit more than I'd /like/ to pay for a service manual. I'm also not jazzed about some of the pay as you go online places. $25 or so per year? No thanks. Four years of owning the original manual and I've more than made up my money even at the $90 price tag.

I use the Haynes manual myself. Get it at any auto parts or book store. The FSM can be purchased on line, sometimes in the complete set of four.

If anyone has a free PDF of the FSM, yeah, I'd love it.
As for the Haynes manual, I found what looked like a good one for pre-'97 cherokees, but the only one I found that goes all the way up to '01 didn't look terribly specific. It'd be enough to find all the bolts on the transmission, I'm sure, but didn't look like it'd contain good wiring information, how to get various bezels off (like on the dash), etc.
If I'm wrong about that, I'd love to know as well (checker and autozone don't really like it when I try to "browse" their manuals to see what's in them).

I found the FSMs available on eBay but they are the print version, which I prefer when working on it. Much easier than getting the keyboard all greasy.

My Haynes does show how to remove all the dash bezels and so forth when servicing the heater core. It also has a few diagrams but leaves a lot to be desired.
There's nothing like a FSM. Specially the full 4 volume set if you can find it. Good luck.

Wondering if you had any info on a down loadable pdf FSM. I found one online for my dodge in forums, but this seems alot harder for my jeep I just bought. Thanks Jenny
