Looking to buy a cherokee, please give opinion

I am looking to buy a cherokee soon and I found this one. What do you guys think. I was told to stay away from the Renix 4.0's and to look for a 1991 and up. Any input on what I should look for on the older or the newer ones would be appreciated. Is this a good deal or should I hold out. I have a 3000 budget to get into a new rig.

$2k is a lot for an 87, no matter how it is equipped or it's condition.....

Don't be in a hurry. Look at a handful of them before making a decision. They usually don't sell that quickly.

Why? There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with a 87-90 4.0

Depends on where youre from... I paid 2k for my stock 89.

OP, The only thing I would be worried about is the d35 rear with 33s :001_unsure:
Other than that, the specs seem pretty good and are all solid upgrades. Seems like the PO didnt spare much expense and got the good stuff, which is nice.
I would definitely go look it over.
Keep in mind with no headliner or carpet (mine doesnt have carpet) its gonna sound like all the windows are open all the time..
