my buddy is lookin to sell his xj, just needs the money, and hes unsure how much to ask for it and im unsure how much to offer for it. i have an 89 right now, but i paid 600 bucks for the truck i traded for it.

his xj is an 89, 4x4, 4.0, aw4, no lift, stock tires and wheels

probly gonna look to flip it and make a quick buck off of it because the wife would hate to have 3 xj's sittin out front (have yet another 89 parts xj)

unsure on the miles, know it has over 150k but less than 200k

It would really depend on the particular one you are looking at. Average prices for an 89 in my area is around $1100-$1800 with working ac/heat and working 4x4. Your area may be different though. Maybe look in the paper, or on Craigslist to see what other people are selling them for in similar condition and see what you can sell it for.

Also, don't forget to add in what you would pay in sales tax and title fees.

ok. he was thinkin about 850 or 900. ac does not work but has a functioning compressor which ill convert to air compressor like i did on mine. heat works good, and needs a driver door window which ill take outta my parts xj but other than that its pretty squared away. when he got it 4x4 didnt work, but i crawled up under and found the rubber vacuum lines swelled up pretty good replaced the lines and it works great. so aside from no ac and the driver window its not to bad??

and about how much are the title fees here in tx?
