Default Looking for a 2001 Cherokee Crankshaf Speed Sensor

I am trying to find out where to shop/buy a Crankshaft Speed Sensor (CSS) I have had some bad experiences with after market CSS and (short of going to a dealer)
does anyone know what reliable quality brands are out there and where to get them. I'm not looking for cheap nor am I wanting to pay dealer list prices.

I am specifically looking for what appears to be the OEM part # 56078 65 AB that fits a 2 WD 6 cyl 2001 Cherokee Sport

I have seen several discussions here warning about cheap CSS but not a lot of specific brands to buy or avoid. And there appears to be a bunch of them priced from $39.00 all the way up to $189.00! Any ideas as to the best place to buy ?

When it comes to engine management, stick with Mopar. The XJ can be very picky with that stuff. According to Rockauto, the factory crank sensor for a 2001 XJ 4.0L is #56027866AE. Go to Rockauto and click on the 'Part Number Search'. Type in the part number and select Mopar from the 'Manufacturers' list. You dont need to type anything in the 'Part Group' box. Mopar #56027866AE pops up, $86.79.

There are quite a few Mopar parts that dont show up using the Rockautos 'Parts Catalog'. If you know the part number, try the 'Parts Number Search'. If you dont know the factory part #, look for parts from Omix-Ada. They usually have the factory part number listed under the description. Thats how i found yours.

I am looking in my '01 parts catalog and getting the same number as fb97xj1. 56027 866AE. That is the one I bought for my '00. With an automatic. You don't say what you have but the parts catalog only lists one. No different part number for one with a manual. I got mine here:

Amazon Amazon

I work at a Napa. Would have been $61 for the Echlin line one with my discount. My local Jeep Dealership wanted $100. I decided to follow everybodies advice and stick with factory.

This is a screen shot of the page out of an '01 parts catalog. If you click on it that will make it larger and readable.
