Hey everyone I'm planning a 2k mile round trip from Fl to NJ, I was just wondering what are some things I should do in preparation beforehand. I changed the oil around 400 miles ago, I know to check the tire pressure and everything, coolant top off, tranny fluid, anything else I'm missing? I drove it round 350 miles round trip the most about 2 weeks ago so I hope she holds up. Any other concerns to look out for? 150k miles

That windshield washer fluid comment is really good advice. I used a lot when I drove from California to Texas and back. I even had 3 bugs splattered on my antenna when I got home.

yeah i go through wash fluid as if my life depended on it. i usually keep a spare bottle in the back cause i go though so much haha.

If you drive after dark, get some plastic/nylon window screen and cover the grille opening. It'll keep the bugs out of the rad/AC condenser, and it's easy to clean/throw away when full of crap.

First I'm heading up to Jersey City to see my father then out west to Hunterdon County and then to Passaic County where I also have some friends. Familiar with the Jersey area?

oh yeah. i live in the millburn/short hills/livingston area, and im back and forth to new brunswick all the time also. Jersey City is only like 25 mins from me.

bring extra water... ive overheated before on a long trip with no water anywhere close. I wouldnt pre mix it. Id get good clean distilled water froma store. If you have to use it for something other than the jeep.. like drinking.. you can do that too
