locker questions
can anyone tell me exactly what it is and what it does. thanks

A "locker" is a lockering differential. There are many kinds on the market to choose from. Basically what it does is replace the factory differential in your rear and in the case of a 4WD vehicle, front axles. A factory "Open" or non posi or non locked, differential allows the left and right wheels in an axle to spin at different speeds. This is important in going around corners so as not to cause chirping or tire wear when driving on the street. A locking differential locks the left and right tires together in effect putting 100% of the torgue and power of the engine to both tires....or in the case of a 4WD vehicle gives true 4 wheel drive to all 4 tires fromt front and rear axles have locking differentials.
