is it a locker?
i have a parts cherokee on the side of my house, i was told the rear axle had a locker but i want to be POSITAVE before i try to swap them. i have the axle off the ground, and wheels off. is there an easy way i can find out if it has a locker? thanks in advance

a very basic way would be to spin both tires and see if they both spin in the same direction. thats a start. the next step would be to pull the cover and see whats there. just snap a pic of whats under the cover and post it up here. we can help you out with IDing the locker if there is one.

No factory XJ axle had a locker, the best some of them came with is an limited slip.
