Lock Right Vs. Aussie???

What are your guys' opinions on lock right lockers vs aussie lockers? I am gonna order two of them soon but I am still unsure of the pros and cons of both, and there prices are nearly the same. What do you all think?

lock-right is not a full spool, I believe, and not as durable as a powertrax no-slip or aussie locker.

This has been argued alot over on pirate and JF and other websites. I personally run loc-rites and have for yrs. buy the hardened shaft as well and call it good.

I once had a loc-rite break one of the parts, it was stillunder warranty. I sent a copy of the receipt as well as a copy of original receipt and they sent me a new one. No issue if you ask me.

they are nearly identical. odds are if you put them side by side, most people wouldnt be able to tell the difference.

I've had both and really could not tell the difference. I know there was something in the springs that was different, I just cant remember what. If I find something I will let you know. Operationally I could not tell the difference in them.

Thanks for the info guys. I am leaning towards aussie right now just because I can buy directly from them and they are very affordable. If a good deal comes my way I will take it regardless of which kind though.

Spartan lockers are made by yukon. I do not trust/like yukpn products. I broke one of their chromo shafts. The catch was it was a inner short side shaft. Oh and it broke in the splines cleanly. It appeared to me, and others that their heat treat on the part wasnt up to par.

I have only been around 5-6 years, participating in forums, and I have only heard maybe 1-2 X's hearing anything bad about Aussies. I was pumped when they came out w/one for the 29 sp 8.25, and have yet to get one:tongue_smilie: but one is definately on the To do list!!
