Now that most of the major things are fixed I would like to get the small things fixed. My heater doesn't work unless I am really getting on it down the highway than warm air will come out. Just idling or driving in town will not get warm. I have checked both my heater hoses and they are both hot to the touch. I also have coolant in the radiator with no leaks. Any suggestions?

There is a small button on the heater valve, press this in and see if you get heat. If so replace the valve.

I had the same problem with my 2000XJ. I ended up having a clog in the heater core. I unhooked the two heater core hoses and used a garden hose to flush out the clog. I used the garden hose to flush water through each hose back and forth until the water coming out of the heater core was completely clear. After I was done, I blew out the water in the heater core and filled it as much as possible with coolant. My heat is now hot.

It's the valve right before the lines for the heater core. My brother had a similar issue on his 93, he would have heat under high rpm while giving it gas, but idling or slow driving he had no heat.

I have the same issue but mine always just has a small amount of air coming out even with the blower all the way up. You can hear the blower working. But not very much heat coming out

Okay ive got the same issue, I'm thinking I have vaccuum issue somewhere because I only get air flow from the defroster. But that air is also warm at best and far from hot. I found what I think are the heater hoses and fI'll owed one coming out of the top of the water pump to a t-intersection with a cap. Continue following that to a 4 way intersection down into the firewall. Followed the return to the same 4 way intersection which then continued on back to the water pump. I put a garden hose to both hoses and both times I pushed antifreeze out of the top of the water pump and no water out of the other hose. Really confused here. And any help would be nice. Any insight on what this inintersections are and what they are for would be great, I have a picture but I'm not sure how to upload it. Thanks guys.

You don't have a Heater Valve.
