lighting problems pls help
i have an 87 chekokee that runs great but has some elec issues. whenever i turn lights on fuse blows knocking out tail and interior lights (dash, door). i took it to a shop and they fixed the problem temporarily, but managed to screw up my clock, three months after they fixed they went out of business so can't take back there. i don't know much about elec system but any help would be greatly apprecieated

I didn't think the dash lights were supposed be on the same fuse as the tail lights. Possibly someone has moved a wire and piggybacked one onto the other? Maybe try bumping up the fuse one size and giving them a quick test to see if the fuse blows. If it doesn't, then there's likely too much load on the circuit. Don't try to run with an oversized fuse in there though or you risk wiring meltdown and fire. If the larger fuse also blows, you have a dead short somewhere in your wiring related to whatever quits working. Look for rubbed bare wire touching metal. Maybe behind the rear tails or even the wiring in the shifter console for the light.
