Default Light question

I have some aftermarket lights on my xj now that I bought from walmart, they're no namers. I recently discovered that I have easy access to the bulbs in these lights. My question is what are the best bulbs that I can put in there without having to change out any wiring?

Without changing wiring? If you're dealing with fair weather all the time, Hella Super Whites in the wattage you got will be good. If you deal with rain/snow/fog, get Hella Yellow Star in the same wattage as original.

If you want to upgrade past whatever came in the lamps to begin with, you will want to change wiring. Period. Especially if they're cheap-o "Made in China" stuff like one finds at Wally World since Sam Walton left us...

Cool, thanks for the tip, can anyone point me to a good wiring harness kit? Which bulbs would be good to go with if I upgrade the wiring?

You're asking the question the wrong way - what are you trying to do, and what bulbs will you want to use?

Once you know that, you can then select wiring and rewire. For auxiliary lighting, I tend to use SJOOW wiring (black rubber jacket, oil- and grease-resistant, buy it in bulk at the hardware store) in whatever wire gage I end up needing. I use 18/2 for "signal" lines to trip relays and such, and larger gages for the main power leads.
