Lifting?
I recently bought a 96 4Dr cherokee 4x4, it is completely stock and one of my buddies gave me a lift kit, but the shocks are completely wrong, the front he gave me go to a ford explorer and the rear go to a wrangler, he also gave me 2in front spacers and rear shackles. My question is if I put the spacers and shackles in, will I need new shocks or do I need to buy any shock extenders or anything?

a cheap alternative and it will help you down the line is to get Bar Pin Eliminators. If you have newish shocks and like them i would just do BPE's. if your shocks are old, i would get new longer shocks.

many people make them. I would google for them and find the best price.
Also, if you remove you rear sway bar (you wont miss it or know its even gone lol) you can take the mounting brackets and make BPE's. There are a few write ups out there

You could also buy a cheap set of zj shock at the local autozond they are about an inch longer and with the bar pins you wont have to worry about your shock length it should be right on.Total cost about 100 bucks.
