lift kit prices

i was wondering if someone could list lift kits that are 5 inches or less and the cheapest they can find. ive looked around but havnt found much

Diesel Oct 26, 2010 02:12 PM

I wont. because you shouldnt be buying the cheapest kit. You should be buying the good kit.

Look into Rubicon Express and BDS

jmm0122 Oct 26, 2010 02:13 PM

Rough Country and Rusty's will be your best bet.

ive looked at RC.. how bout i refrase this.. whats the best kit for under 400$?

Diesel Oct 26, 2010 02:16 PM

At 5"? You wont find one. From any company.

Best kit any size for under $400. Rubicon Express.

as in 5 inches or LESS. rc 4.5 is like 450$.. but i can get it cheaper than that threw a local shop in town. i can get it for thier cost which that normally means somewhere from 35-15% off from the other stuff ive bought

Zone lift might work it's $500 but it has everything you need!

Plus for like $20 more you can upgrade to gas shocks, I love those things

Diesel Oct 26, 2010 02:55 PM

Gas shocks are terrible. Hydro shocks are at their best right now, gas still needs improvement.

Just curious, how so? Iv had mine for like 6 months and haven't had problems yet.........

Diesel Oct 26, 2010 03:01 PM

Ever since gas shocks have become major production, Monroe has been testing and improving. Gas shocks leak easier, I can bang the crap out of my bds5500 hydros. I have had multiple nitros and nothing but leaks even with the smallest dent the gas leaks passed the urethane orings.

Deanxj97 Oct 26, 2010 03:06 PM

Got ya so mainly just a leaking problem. My buddy has those bds shocks and they look sweet.
Sorry didn't mean to go off topic........

I notice that these kits don't come with a case drop kit. You will need one of those. Well, most people end up needing it after going 3" or larger.

Just a heads up.

accually the "cheap" lifts are more expensive than the quality more expensive lifts because you are gonna end up replacing everything any ways. save up buy a quality lift. i hate it when ppl just lift it cheaply and then complain that everything breaks... duh u spent 300 bucks on a 8 inch lift, what do u expect. plain and simple you get what u pay for. cheap cost= cheap lift.
