Alot of the answer depends on what kind of lift it is and how much actual time it takes to install it. I run a shop here in NOR CAL, most lifts run between 4 and 8 hours of labor. Its always cheaper to do it yourself but if a shop does it you do get a warrenty with it. Shop rate is another thing everybody is different so if you call around ask them what thier rate is and then the hours it will take. You will get a straight answer that way.

if you do end up getting it done at a shop make sure you check them out and ask around to make sure theyre a reputable shop but with these rigs if your looking at doing a 3 inch lift its really nothing that difficult its all basic hand tools pretty much good luck either way
