jw have any of you guys had a shop do it professionaly? and if so how much did it run you? idk if me or any of my friends who know how to install lifts will have the time anywhere in teh near future so i might just have a shop do it. thanks

I'm cheap too. Did it myself because the quotes I got were even higher than TJs.

my son just did a cj7 lift and tire swap for 150
but he probably wound not do it that cheep again cus of all the rusted bolts

it takes me and my freind about two hours for a lift with air tools, we bang em out pretty fast, it tooke me and him 30 minutes to do 2in shackels and 3in leafs on my cherokee yesterday. just do it stop being a woosssy.

Alot of the answer depends on what kind of lift it is and how much actual time it takes to install it. I run a shop here in NOR CAL, most lifts run between 4 and 8 hours of labor. Its always cheaper to do it yourself but if a shop does it you do get a warrenty with it. Shop rate is another thing everybody is different so if you call around ask them what thier rate is and then the hours it will take. You will get a straight answer that way.

If you don't know how to do it, i would get it done... I mean you could screw up the Jeep some how....

i personally dont know who to do it. but i have 2-3 friends along with theer dads who know how and have put liftes on jeeps and or trucks. so they def know how. but i def dont have 400 to have a shop instal it for me

if you do end up getting it done at a shop make sure you check them out and ask around to make sure theyre a reputable shop but with these rigs if your looking at doing a 3 inch lift its really nothing that difficult its all basic hand tools pretty much good luck either way

4.5" RC lift. and there is a few 4x4 stores round here not sure if they do lifts or not. and i know ttheres a few mechanic shops that do it. i just dont wanna pay out my *** to have it done. but its killing me to see it just sit on my floor
