Leaking sun roof and doors
How can I stop my sun roof from leaking?? And my driver door has a big gap between it and the A-pillar. Same with the passenger rear. Can you adjust the hinges to fix that?
|
The hinges ARE adjustable, make sure your hinge weld is not coming loose on the front door.
|
Its not. Sunroof?
|
Reseal it with silicone.

Any other input with people who've had these problems?

Yep, do as 95 said.

If you have a big gap between the driver door and the A-pillar, I'm guessing there's a smaller than normal gap between the rear of the driver door and the front of the driver side rear door.
Loosen the star bolts on the hinges and play with the door, a little trial and error and alot of expletives later you'll have decent alignment. |
To reduce the A-pillar gap, just loosen the 3 bolts on the top hinge only and gently push the door towards the front of the Jeep, this should reduce the gap.

Make sure the sunroof drains aren't clogged. Pour a little water on the guide rails with the sunroof open. Water should drain out just behind the front tires and behind the rear doors. The drain tubes are routed behind the A-pillar trim and rear door trim. All four of mine were pinched. I also ran a bead of clear silicone around the black sunroof trim where it meets the roof. Hasn't leaked since.

Siliconed the sunroof. Got one door fixed... driver door has a cracked hinge weld.
