Leaking!!
Hey guys, I started getting a real bad leak coming from the bellhausing. Every time I put oil into the clutch cylinder, it comers out from the bellhausing. How hard will it be to replace the slave cylinder on my 94 XJ or should I take it to a shop to get it done?

it would just be like replacing a master cylinder for brakes, just with out the booster, get the new one and bench bleed it before you put it in

Well your in for a lot of fun replacing your slave cylinder on your 94. You have to drop the transmission to replace the slave because it is internal. 95+ had external slave cylinders, I am very lucky I have a 98 because I replaced the master/slave last week and it took about an hour. While I doubt it, I would look above your clutch pedal inside the jeep and check to see if you are leaking fluid inside the cab. If you are it is your master failing, though generally if you are leaking fluid from the bell housing it is the slave. I would highly recommend that if you are dropping the trans to go ahead and replace the clutch while you are in there.

Sounds like your in the same boat as me, slave went out and trashed the clutch. I ended up with a 600 dollar bill because i didnt have time to do it myself. If you have the option do it yourself, you will save ALOT of money. Also just a little side note, it cant hurt to have the flywheel resurfaced when you put a new clutch in
