Default Leaf Shackle Replacement

Hi,

Anyone know if it is possible to replace the leaf shackles without taking the leaves off?

Thanks

Sure, you just need tall enough jack stands to support the frame so that the axle can reach full droop.

I also had to unbolt my shocks at the lower bracket to have enough droop to install my new shackles. It made it easier to get them to bolt up. Although I was going with extended boomerang shackles.

Along with axle droop, I also used a small jack between top of leaf pack and chassis (floorboard). Be sure and use a wood block on chassis to spread out the load. It does not take much force at all but will help keep the leaf pack flat.
