Anyone build a laptop mount for their XJ? I would like to have my old Thinkpad in the Jeep as I am working from home now and travel alot to sites. Google is tossing me all sortsa stuff, but no XJ ideas.

I guess I should have said that I am building it myself. Hate to shell out $300 for something I can make myself for $30.

I'll look I know of one person that runs one. I've seen them mounted over head and other where the person found a cop car in the bone yard and got the mount out of there..

might look into something for the crown vic or some kind of site that supplies law enforcement stuff. Lots of police have laptop mounts.

My wifes had an adjustable pedestal with old cell phone mounts on it.. docking station, hand set and external speaker. I removed all of it and used it to mount my CB when traveling. You would have to make/find a way to mount the Laptop to the pedestal, but its can be adjusted in any direction except up and down.

It would be cool to find someone who ran XJ's as a cop vehicle, even cooler to find a cop XJ itself. Try shooting StillwaterEMT a pm, he uses his as a municipal vehicle I think, maybe he knows the company that makes them and/or where to get one...
