knock sensor question

i broke my knock sensor on my 1990 xj,4.0L during an over haul,

but @ auto zone and orilleys, the knock sensor looks like this

but the one on my xj looks like this

is the one on my xj the wrong one, or do the auto part stores have an upgraded version, will the one they have work even though its different please help
