IS ebay best bet to get a keyless remote ? Do universal remotes work ? 1992 model ?

by universal remotes do you mean a TV remote? haha.
because actually, you could get a TV remote to work for your jeep.
anyway, I bought mine on eBay. like 20 dollars or so for one.
you can use any remote that is infrared (not radio signals like new systems use).
