Default Just got my RC lift parts...but...

I just got my lift parts in the mail today: front springs, 4 shocks, LCA's, adj. track bar, and I have a tcase drop I'm going to pick up tomorrow....but I can't install my lift until next friday because of some budget constraints

So here I am, left staring at this beautiful 3" lift kit in my living room and I can't even start installing it until next weekend.

spray everyday, it will cut down on cursing and general frustration when you go to install the lift.

Believe it or not, my XJ's bolts are all in pretty good shape (knock on wood). I was able to take off my exhaust manifold by only spraying the bolts once about half an hour before I took it off (the bolts right at the base of the manifold flange). Also was able to take off the bolts right at the front of my cat by the t-case crossmember without any difficulty at all. But yeah, I will spray the bolts frequently.

Will do. Not too worried about upper shock bolts because I'm replacing my shocks (all 4) with some brand new nitro 9k's from RC.... can't wait to see how they ride (hope it's like mine was before, maybe a little less abrupt in the bumps).

Curiosity is digging away at me...I had less anticipation about christmas! gah!

I sprayed all the bolts on mine every day for a week (well almost every day, I think 6 out of 8 days). I did not have any bolts on my lift install break, all four rear shock bolts came out w/o breaking. I also did not have either of my sway bar end links break. Even managed to get one of the center pins on my old springs out intact - second one broke off but they were getting replaced anyway. :-)

Spray, spray then spray some more. The lift install is a PITA enough without having to worry about siezed bolts! :-)
Oh, and get a spring compressor- I thought I would be able to live without one but boy was I wrong. Rented one from Autozone, then when I re-did the front end I just bought one from Harbor Freight for $12.

If it makes you feel any better the first 2" lift I put it I didn't spray any bolts and had none break.. Good luck but I would definitely hit em with PB Blaster daily in the evening and let it sit over night.

I only sprayed mine once before i installed mine.... HUUUUUUGGGGEEE mistake!!

I broke like 5 bolts and busted 3 nuts off inside the unibody... Including the front leaf spring welded nut... I had to cut open the floor board to get to it!! NOT COOL!
