hey guys im new to the site but have been looking at other threads ive found some real helpful stuff. I just bough a 2.5l 96 xj drives great already took it off roading everything seemed fine until i heard the coolant bubbling I figured it may just be some air in the system since we just did a coolant flush but I ended up doing a headgasket test and turns out i have a blown headgasket. Im replacing it tommorow with a friend what worries me though is that the engine block might be cracked. i asked a few of my friends they said its not something i should really fear because its only a 4 cylinder. if it is cracked i plan on looking for another four cylinder i just hope thier not hard to find. any advice is appreciated!!!

Blown head gasket does not equal a cracked block. Is it possible? Yes, it can happen, but it's not likely. I'd say go for the head gasket replacement, then see where you are.
