Just bought 96 xj 4.0L h.o no start airbags?
Light damage on front and bag off in drivers wheel it's Canadian, is there a safety shutdown. I turn key and it makes one click noise

Does anyone have patience anymore?
How about some more info. Does the battery even have a charge? Could there be corrosion on the battery terminals or at the starter?

The airbag on a 96 is not electronic and not required for anything. I removed mine along with the steering wheel and swapped an older style one on. No warning lights, no issues.

I tried booster cables on battery, tried crossing over solenoid tried tapping the starter with metal object.
I guess it's probley starter itself? I just wanted to see if there was any kind f shut down for the aigbag being off.

I just put heavy duty units on my 2000. The old ones were perfectly good, excprt that they were spec'ed for the fiberglass hatches and therefore were never really strong enough for the steel hatches. I was going to offer them to you, until I read your second post. JB

Got it going 
banged on the starter a few times while brother cranked over and she fired up! Goin tomorrow to get a used starter a front bumper, grill, signal light housings,
It's got pro comp 4" on front I'm told and not sure what's done to back seems a half in lower I haven't researched much but may look into shackles or another leaf. 31x10.5 tires two On back need replacing.
Exhaust is chopped after cat so no muffler sounds good haha. Also need new steering wheel.
