Junk yard score!!!
I just got back from the junk yard where I came across a 4 cyl 5 speed cherokee with an 8.25 rear. And for any body who does not know,4cyl,5 speed=4.10 gear's.I have been looking for one for a while, and some body already got the axle shaft's,diff cover's,and drive shaft's.So all I had to do pop the axle carrier's and ****** the ring and pinion's,it was a good jy day.

I have a spare complete rear axle and the front was a vacum disconnect. So I only really needed the the gearing and yes I picked up the front and rear.Only 40.00 bucks, and it was only 27 spline shafts.

yea I was wondering the same thing. I would have grabbed the entire thing and just swapped in my axle shafts and been done. it will be a lot more expensive in the end to swap in those cheap junkyard gears than it woulda been to grab the whole housing no matter what they were asking for it

There's a 85 or 86 model w/ 4.10's off of 2nd and Hatcher if you're in the DFW area. 150 a pop. D35/D30. Better get out of there before the sun goes down. (South Dallas)

Keep in mind that installing a used gearset can be noisy when reinstalled and the exact same pattern is not achieved.
