Jeep XJ shaking
Today I was driving my 2000 Jeep XJ sport and I noticed when I got up to around 53-55 mph, when I let off the gas the vehicle was shaking uncontrollably. I'm led to believe this might be a suspension issue, maybe a ball joint gone bad? I would like to know immediately because I drive this thing from home to school everyday.
This is the day I brought the Jeep home from the previous owner.

if you post in the correct section you have a better chance of getting a response.
Oh, another thing that might help get a response. When people are volunteering their time and expertise to help you, demands for answers "immediately" don't go over well. Sort of makes people roll their eyes and move on.
Nice looking Jeep.

Old fart with a wrench
Keep it under 50. It's called "Death Wobble" and 1/2 this forum is dedicated to it. Do some research!

You have a death wobble on your hands, there is quite a list when it comes to what could be causing it.
1. Coil Springs
2. Sway bar / sway bar links
3. Ball Joints
4. Tie rods / tie rod ends
5. Steering stabilizer
6. Pitman Arm
7. Center link
8. Control Arms
9. Track bar / track bar mounting bolts
These components are a good place to start, might want to have a mechanic check it out if you aren't sure of what to look for when it comes to wear. Hope this helps!
