I am having jeep XJ 2.5 manual.Sometimes I am having an issue with starting my engine. after riding several minutes my XJ won't crank. If I turn the key my dash light all works but the starter won't engage. after 20 min of rest, it will start like a champ.Whats the problem?

Have you checked the wiring attached to the starter?

 

Not really..but it only happens when I go offroad..But I cant start the engine after several minutes.

 

Rock or mud?

 

Its 1993 model...mud offroad..

 

2nd Batman... Esp in mud. Check your ground points and starter.
