Removed SKIM, OK to use keyless entry?
Hi everyone. I'm a long time lurker first time poster.
I battled "NO BUS" issues for a couple of years and in January, removed the SKIM module and replaced my ECM with one not programmed to use it. I've been "NO BUS" free for nine months. My question is pretty simple, can I continue to use the keyless entry? The reason I even ask is because I understand that were I to plug a SKIM module back into my Jeep the ECM (though programmed not to look for it) would start looking for it and I'd be back to square one. I don't think the keyless entry works the same way but I haven't been using it just in case.
Thanks for your help.
Matt
