Default Jeep wont start unless gas pedel is to the floor

I have a 1996 jeep Cherokee 4.0 Manual 4wd. Today after work I went to start my car and all I got was cranking. Put the gas pedal to the floor and it started right up. In the last month I've replaced the ICU, CPS, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and TPS. Any other ideas would help. Thanks

Sounds like TPS. I read you replaced it but it's not unheard of to get a bad one. Link below to a similar issue. You getting any CEL's?

When this has randomly happened in my 1996, I get a CEL code for the ECT sensor/wire harness, Engine Coolant Temperature.

Oh that makes me think, on the other post they mention resolving the same condition with a new Coolant temp sensor...10 bucks.

It shouldn't start at all with the pedal pushed all the way down. The fuel injectors get cut off.

Pushing gas pedal to floor until engine catches, has been the only way to start it when it happens.
Happened only three times in 4 years.

Most likely the IAC. Could be other things too, like MAP, or coolant sensor, or air temp sensor, but most likely the IAC is dirty/stuck.

Default o2 sensor

Pushing the pedal to the floor cuts injector flow in half. A whIle ago my upstream oxygen sensor wires melted against the exhaust and I had the same issue and it ran decently otherwise. So you might check the sensor and wiring. Although I did have a check engine light at that point
