Yep, not stellar in the wind. Mine is pretty stockish (1.5" lift and 30" tires). My steering and suspension is in great shape, and the wind still has a pretty strong effect on the vehicle. Its a taller than average vehicle that only ways 3000lb and is shaped like a saltine cracker box.

I can only imagine what its like for those that have improper caster angles due to prior lifts, with bigger/wider tires, and where their XJ likes to "wander" on the road even on a calm day.

Coming home from camping last weekend I was behind my buddy in his Wrangler Unlimited (JKU), and it was very windy. I had to radio him and tell him I couldn't keep up, because the wind was making it too hard to go that fast. He was like .... "what wind?".

Good to know it's not just me. Knew it wasn't my Jeep because I just did a bunch of work to it and had alignment done so the suspension components are tight. I'm still getting used to driving it though.

Saying something about 50 mph gust here is like the Alaska guys complaining about snow. You get used to it and it pushes every car around.

O I'm well aware of that, I'm used to my 4,000 lb Grand Marquis so I'm still getting used to a light suv that sits high

Just replaced the steering box so the steering is nice and tight.

You ever drive a car with no shocks? My buddy says you can do it, because he has, but when you hit a bump the car won't stop bouncing. He said it is pretty funny.

We had some high winds Friday here. I drive a company owned Prius for the auto parts store. Think it might be one of the reasons I own a Jeep. To maintain some dignity. LOL. Anyway I go to the warehouse twice a day. 60 mile round trip and mostly highway. With the suspension being shot, we put some serious weight in that thing from time to time (well serious weight for a Prius), I was getting tossed around out there like a rag doll.
