So about 3 am this morning my Jeep horn starts blasting down in the garage...scared the Holy bejesus out of every body in the house(garage is below my house) I had to unhook the batt cable to shut it off.I think it was having a nightmare that it was a Honda Civic or a Hummer maybe...lol,WTH?

i would be scared to if a had a nightmare that i was a civic or a hummer, mine has fits every now and then too its so weird, its like shes talking to me, every now and then it just honks real quick, when its off too, it happened this morning, and it was hilarious cause my buddy just got done saying that it had a mind of its own haha

No alarm I am sure. I have had this jeep awhile no red lights on the dash or mystery wiring or any thing that an alarm would have, factory or aftermarket...If by some super off chance that it did then it took it 2 years to go off,Only thing I can come up with is this new recovery bumper does not cover the horn itself, and I spayed the under carriage down really good yesterday

I cant see how a horn would go off by its self with water spray . the horn is activated through the steering wheel. I would start looking at that first.

Check the horn relay under the hood, it may be going bad or stuck closed...Tj

My horn did the same thing one day. I was sitting in traffic and all of a sudden my horn just went off. It just blasted. People were looking at me like I was crazy. I started punching the steering wheel but that didn't work. I eventually was able to pull over and I pulled the plug at the horn. Never got around to fixing it.

Temperature changes cause the air bag cover on the steering wheel to tighten up and depress the horn switch. It always seems to happen at the early morning hours. You can pull the fuse every night, unplug the relay, or replace the air bag. My local self serve boneyard leaves the air bags in the vehicles there, even undeployed air bags. Maybe check your boneyard out and see what they have to offer. Brand new will be costly.
