Im looking to remove the solid vent window on my 2 front doors and make it a full window like on the 97-01 Cherokees. Will the full window fit in my doors? I would remove the doors and get 01 doors but there $200 each at the JY.

I think they will fit as long as you use the newer weather strip and belt moulding of course. I'm sure others on the site have done it, maybe one of them will chime in.

Thats why Im changing them, I don't know why they put them in, They don't even open out like our 84 Ford F250. So thats good to see they will fit.

From what I heard, it's not worth the work/trouble & they might not fit anyway. Consider that if you have the vent window your main glass ends just past mid door. There is a metal strip that guides the glass so it rolls up & down. It might also have another purpose. The ones with full glass are minus this strip because the glass is bigger, goes across the door. It might take a bit of fabrication/cutting to fit full glass in there. I dunno, gotta take a closer look at mine.
I've been wanting to do this, so if you find out the real deal, post up so I know!
