Jeep Is Backfiring And Missing! HELP PLEASE!
Okay I Have A 2000 Jeep Cherokee It's A 2.5 5 Speed.
Last Night I Was Driving Home And It Randomly Started Jerking Like It Was Going To Die, I Tried To Keep Going And It Started To Back Fire Really Loud So I Pulled Over In A Safe Place And Left It For The Night. Went Back This Morning And It Was Doing The Same Thing I Managed To Get It To A Friends House But Still Haven't Figured Out The Problem.
The Battery Is Junk But It Still Hold Some Charge, I Borrowed A Friends Battery To See If That Was The Problem And It Still Done The Same Thing.
I Had Taken It Mudding A Few Days Before All This Happened So I Cleaned The Distributor Cap, Plug Wires, And Coil Real Good And Still No Luck. It Idles Fine You Can Rev It Up At Idle And It Doesn't Seem To Miss But As Soon As You Take Off It Jerks And Backfires
Anyone Have Any Ideas???? I'm No Mechanic But I Love To Learn!

Well I managed to get it home today barely. Here is what I have tested... Alternator, plugs, plug wires, coil, fuel injectors, all sensors on the throttle body. Still can't find nothing idk what is going on. As I was driving home my oil light came on? Any ideas people I could really use the help!
