Also another thing I had a question about. If I got cone shaped air filter and got rid of the facotory airbox how would I incorporate the EGR emission hose/pipe and that valve on the front end of the factory air intake box? If I run with the EGR but do not hook up the EGR/Emission pipe to the engine will that make it run bad? I mean it is only heat since there is no actual hole that exhaust gas is released into.

It's too late to think about vacuum. I would think the CCV tube might be the issue. Those litlle lines on the air box are for the hot air intake. (for Siberia)

So what would you have to do to make a cone shaped airfilter work on a renix? But also removing the airbox?
If you cut the puller off the front of the intake box that opens and closes the port to let the exhaust heat get into intake and mount it neatly on the front of the engine bay and run one hose to the cone air filter with a new hose going to the front of the cone filter and another hose to the manifold tube would it work? Also I have one of those small oil air filters on the PCV the one in front of where you pour the oil and it is not getting that added pressure from being hooked up to the intake hose; could that also pose an issue?

It's good to rout that into your incoming air. It pisses just a little vapor and oil smoke, can get messy. On older engines it's more of a problem. I'm doing OK at 265K, but I, sure my day is coming!
I don't know much on the custom air cleaners. I'm fine with the stock. It's quiet and works fine.
(a second stainless bracket might have been nice, VV) OK, and a new rear gromit.

I don't think you need that in Florida.

Too Many! Trust me, nothing special. (and thanks). Just specific stuff like "this bolt".

I suppose I'd look at a diagram for the erg lines, then just finish with that right. Idk if you might need that heated air intake for an inspection/smog there. It certainly isn't of much value there though.

OK cool. No inspection, smog test where I live and I think it would still pass smog without it hooked up since the High Output engines do not have that re-circulation line. Only one air line is involved with the front of the air box and that goes into the back of the air box. Simple fix I guess just pull the line, and pull the re-circulation hose from the manifold and I should be riding COOL > and hopefully idling smooth with it removed.

Man I am getting all my parts tomorrow, except for my EGR gasket, "that comes Friday". I can't wait to get those injectors in. Those are Supposed to eliminate the rough idle, high idle problem. Will also increase gas mileage and notice a small increase in performance. I will keep you updated and show some pictures "this weekend hopefully" on my progress on these upgrade/repair. It is like a million small things that take so much time, and feel it is a combination of problems I will hopefully come back with + results in a few days. Also if you got any more pictures man post them I would like to see some more of your engine compartment.

Right on. Watch that tender little tube from the inside if the TB up to the MAP on the firewall. That's supper crucial. Man Vac to the CCV, FPR, EGR, for a start...

With all the chit-chat about other things I didn't see if you fixed your problem yet... something to try, and I really doubt its causing your trouble, is to remove the cat and see how it runs. I know you said it new but there's a small chance its defective and limiting your exhaust. An exhaust system that's too restrictive can cause the symptom you described.

Hope it is either the injectors, or egr gasket.

Well the injectors were suppose to get here today but looks like they were missent to the wrong address. I even called USPS customer service but they told me it happens sometimes and it will be here tomorrow. I got the throttle body all cleaned up and placed the new gasket on it. Also bolted up the new TPS sensor, and cleaned up the IAC sensor. Took the time to consolidate the vacuum lines to better organize the mess of lines going every which way. Also got the new egr valve and new gasket mounted up on the intake manifold. So tomorrow will be the true test after I get my injectors from USPS. Also I disconnected my negative battery for 24 hours to let the ECU reprogram. I should have taken off the whole intake manifold and cleaned it as good as I did the throttle body, it looked ridiculous with how much carbon build up is in their. Well my Bg44k should take care of it so I figure that would eliminate me going through the agony of unbolting the intake manifold and hand clean it.
