Default Jack Size

Need to buy new jack for stock Cherokee with Wranglers on it. Jack that I have now is junk. It wobbled real bad. I was able to get flat off, spare on, but couldn't get high enough to get inflated tire back on. Does anyone know the height I need to get Wrangler tire on or how to measure accurately? Haven't found one at salvage yard and couldn't find specs. This may be a stupid question. Thanks.

Get a cheap bottle jack and wood blocks. They sell them pretty much everywhere. Walmart carries them for less than $15.

Get a small portable floor jack unless you got a big lift then you need a bigger jack.

I got a $25 Acdelco floorjack from O'Reilys. Then I went to Home Depot and bought a deck post for $18. Had them cut it into two 6" block and three 9" blocks. With those I lifted my XJ enough to install a 3" lift kit.
Cheaper than buying an "SUV Jack"

I'm all stock, with 235s and a jack with 15" of lift is good. 13" was too short and I'm too lazy to screw around with wood blocks.

That sounds about like what I was thinking. I'm stock and lazy, too!

Thanks all. Appreciate the advice. Always get good help here.
