99 jeep Cherokee, new engine code it's saying oxygen sensor high voltage. What could this mean and how do I go about fixing the issue. Along with that, since the code appeared my washer fluid will no longer squirt. I can't hear the pump even kick, could these be related or am I nuts. Thanks for your time and help.

Check your fuses for the washer pump.

As for O2? Should read 'bank 1' or 'bank 2'.......something like that. Meaning upstream or downstream, which is it?

It's likely that one or the other..........probably downstream O2 has gone bad.

Yeah, you're nuts. :P

What is the code its throwing? Is it running rough and falling on its face? Wants to die below 3k RPM?

02 sensor(s) have a 5V feed from the puter', and a 12V feed for it's heater. Since the wires run together in nasty, hot places the 12V can end up chafing/burning and contacting the 5V wire. (or the other signal wire). I believe that could result in that high volt code. My .02 would be to do a through job checking the wires...

It's odd, it's throwing this: P1038 oxygen sensor circuit high voltage bank one sensor two. I just replied the downstream sensor 1 month ago.
