iron scorpion bumpers
hi there, im 17 and i just got my first cherokee about a week ago. i must say... what an addicting vehicle haha. so far i have built my own 2inch coil spacers and installed them accompanied by 2inch blocks out back. im sitting on a fairly mild mud terrain tire. size: 235/75r15. im considering bumpers now and have stumbled upon the iron scorpion diy bumpers. they look good and are cheap and since i have experience in fabricating i could put them together. my only concern is how it will look with a 2 inch lift and a small tire (because the only show the bumper on bad @$$ rigs haha). so if anyone out there can just voice their opinion on the situation or by chance has pictures of the setup i want, it would do wonders for me. thanks in advance.

Here is a thread over at NAXJA talking about this. The 1st xj on page 6 isn't too modified. Personally would not use a bedliner, but either a nice black or power coat

I have one on my truck. They are in CO too, so decided to try it. I would say it's a nice bumper, but also a bit of a challenge. You have to be careful in bending. I noticed the tabs close to breaking. It was a good amount of work to weld too. Plus you have to buy all the hardware. I probably saved about $80-$100 by doing it myself. Look up my jeep build thread for pics.

i would like to as well but its my daily driver. and since im young, money is limited which is evident... i did build my own spacers to save some cash. ive got $30 invested in a 2inch lift. i think thats pretty good. also if a had money, i would just buy a pre fabbed bumper and bolt it up. im trying to make it look legit on the cheap.
