Intermittent Engine Knock Problem
First of all, I am new to the forum, so hi!
I just bought a 92 Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0 and the engine knocks, but only sometimes. It is all quiet when the car first starts up but then after a minute of it idling it will knock, but only a few times. It is more prevalent when the ac first turns on, but then goes away and then knocks intermittently at me while driving. When I turn the car off it rattles until the engine is stopped. I though it was the oil pump but I'm running at a constant 40 psi. Any advice would be amazing!
Most of the engine noise is the exhaust manifold leaking, but there are a few of the knocks in there too

Not saying it is, but theres also a noise that sounds like a knock that comes from a cracked flexplate on the transmission, just in case you didnt know.
Theres a inspection plate you can remove to make sure the bolts are tight and check it with a flashlight.

This doesn't sound like the flex plate to me. Its in the wrong stop. It sounds like its running dry but I have 60 psi of oil pressure. Maybe it's going to throw a rod?
