intermittant loss of power, feels like it's not getting fuel

ok I'm baffled here. last week my heep started doin this weird thing where it will cut out at light throttle like it's not getting fuel. Doesn't matter if I'm stomped on it, goin straight, or turning it just cuts out when it wants.
the thing is if I let off the throttle and re-apply it acts as if it never happened.
It did it at idle the other day too. idle got really low, about 600 RPM, sounded like it was gonna die. Then then IAC kicked up the idle back to 1000 or so. repeated this for a min or so then stopped.
I waveformed my fuel pump off the fuel pump relay to check my current draw to the fuel pump and check the contact of the commutator brushes on the pump motor, Pump is fine.
I dunno what the hell :bangin:

Could it be an intermittent TPS problem?

tannerp89 04-20-2011 01:07 PM

well, I hooked a scan tool up to it so I could moniter the voltage output of the TPS. by what I can see the TPS is fine, voltage is constant through the entire movemnt of the throttle and within spec...
