Interior removal
Hi guys I'm going to be removing my rear carpets in the trunk and all the nescessary plastics so that i can weld in a new floor. Is there any write ups or tricks to removing the carpet easily? I'd like to start and finish in 1 day if possible. Thanks!

The rear carpet comes right out, as you remove all the plastic trims. The trim pieces are overlaping at "joints", so you have to start removing from front to back. I had many rusty screws there that hold the moldings, some broke grrrrrrrrr. You also will have to remove few "things" that are holding the rear trim pieces, you'll see as you go. To remove the last piece you'll have to remove the liftgate striker, the nuts are under / behind the bumper... hope those are not frozen ...
I don't recall seeing actually step-by-step writup, but I've seen few topics with photos. I don't have links. Try to search for "jeep floor pan replacing" and such. You may find those through google.
good luck

I just did this. It should not take you longer than a day. It's all pretty easy to figure out. My only recommendation is to get a TORX head set with the star heads as you will need a couple of different sizes for the safety equipment.
I wish I'd had the time to take some photo's while I was doing mine

those are no big deal, it jut takes a couple scores arround the baseof the tie downs to the fabric will pop off of them. then when the fab is gone there will just be like 1/2 cm gap from cargo bed to tie down but they are still just as strong
