Interior lights issue

Howdy y'all,

I have a 2000xj that has been a real problem for me. I had lost my instrument cluster and radio the other week and replaced the fuse 16? In the power distribution center and I got back the cluster. However, yesterday I noticed all of the interior lights became permanently stuck on after I got back in my car after getting gas. Right now I'm just pulling the battery cable when I park it, but I'd like to fix the issue at hand. My dome light bulb finally died so its not that big of a driving issue, but I want it back in decent shape. Any and all comments are helpful.
Thank you so much!

Figure which fuse controls that circuitry. Once you have done that pull it. You can now check that circuitry for shorts.

Things to check:

1. Headlight switch inadvertently adjusted such that it is in the position that turns on internal lighting manually
2. Failed Headlight Switch causing the same behavior as #1
3. Failed door sensor - making the vehicle believe that a door is open - causing internal lights to stay on
