Interior lights issue
Howdy y'all,
I have a 2000xj that has been a real problem for me. I had lost my instrument cluster and radio the other week and replaced the fuse 16? In the power distribution center and I got back the cluster. However, yesterday I noticed all of the interior lights became permanently stuck on after I got back in my car after getting gas. Right now I'm just pulling the battery cable when I park it, but I'd like to fix the issue at hand. My dome light bulb finally died so its not that big of a driving issue, but I want it back in decent shape. Any and all comments are helpful. Thank you so much! |
Figure which fuse controls that circuitry. Once you have done that pull it. You can now check that circuitry for shorts.

Things to check:
1. Headlight switch inadvertently adjusted such that it is in the position that turns on internal lighting manually 2. Failed Headlight Switch causing the same behavior as #1 3. Failed door sensor - making the vehicle believe that a door is open - causing internal lights to stay on |
