Default intake question

noob here so go easy ive looked all over and cant find. im getting ready to purchase my first jeep and i need ot konw is a 1990 xj injected or carborated because i cant tell if htere is a throtle body or carb on it

Its fuel injected its a renix setup

ok so i feel realy stupid but what is that im used to newer cars i had a 02 lancer so some of this is new to me

newer cars have injection (EFI: Electronic Fuel Injection)

Renix is the type of engine. You and I both have the older "renix" engine which are non- "HO" They are just electronic fuel injected. All the newer motors are multi-port fuel injected.

Both the RENIX and HO are port fuel injected. RENIX is the engine management system used, not the engine itself. 91 and up use the Chrysler engine management system and have a different cylinder head with a few other little changes.

My mistake. I thought it was a company that manufactured the motors, I knew the newer ones are Chrysler. I feel like a dumbass, but I guess I learned something too.
