Default Installed adj. MAP sensor now some ?'s

Looking for someone whos done this before mostly, i have it installed and working and i can tune it, which is really nice but now no matter how much i adjust it when i use the gas pedal it dies, I can rev it all day long by hand w/ the throttle body but when i use the pedal it dies instantly, pretty much at a loss for why, thanks

That doesn't make since.

Is the throttle cable broken? Does the throttle body open when you hit the pedal?

As for the running issue, are you sure you wired it right? What does the output voltage read? If it is over 6.5 volts, then it is possible you could fry the pcm.

When you say "using the gas pedal" are you saying like you are getting in the jeep putting it in drive and trying to drive it and it dies....Cause if that is the case I would say it sounds like when you are putting a load on the engine it dies....you might need to adjust it with a load on the engine

Keep in mind on a Renix motor the ECU only uses the MAP sensor when its cold and when you mash the skinny pedal and ignores it most the time. Does it die when its cold? Whats your output voltage at when you have it "tuned"? checked for vacuum leaks? Unless your output voltage is way off, I'd look else where.

I haven't heard of a good way to "richen up" a renix, I've looked....as soon as the richer A/F mix hits the O2 sensor, the ECU will shorten the injector pulse to bring it back to 14:1, defeating what your trying to do. A way around that is to get a O2 simulater, but thats a whole can of worms, because your then disabling the ECU's ability to adjust the A/F mix and relying on one preset number.
