INFO for FUEL LINES
I've noticed a few threads recently about the fuel line going into the fuel rail on our 4.0's... and since I recently just replaced mine, I want to share what I learned.
What I learned: It's as SIMPLE as can be. The fuel line connects at the fuel rail with a quick disconnect, and it ALSO connects just under the firewall with another quick disconnect. There is also a tab with a screw that holds it to the intake manifold. The part can be ordered from NAPA, and it's considered a "bundle" (which comes with the connectors and mounting tab, but they're all one piece and ready to install with no assembly needed). A factory direct OEM part is more expensive than the NAPA replacement, but the NAPA part is quality, stainless steel so I'd save your money and go with them. Refer to this site: http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/...2100135AE.html I strongly recommend paying the $50 or so and replacing that entire section as it only takes a couple of minutes to do, and ensures that you will not have any more leaks. Good luck! |
