Default Info on front brakes please

My brother has a 99 Cherokee Classic 4x4 which needs some front brake pads and possibly rotors. I did a search and most of the info seemed to be geared for upgrades and problems so I thought I'd ask for some quick advice.

I've done brakes before but not on a 4x4 on the front. (at least not recently) Are the hubs hard to get off to change the rotors if necessary? Which rotors and pads would you recommend for a stock replacement? Should I get some OEM or a auto store replacement? Any other info or advice would be appreciated before I go out and buy the Haynes manual.

Thanks.

It's pretty simple 2 bolts to remove the caliper and the rotors slide off. aftermarket brakes are cheaper and I havint had any trouble with them if you get the good stuff.

Only problem you will run into is getting the rotor off if you do decide to replace them. But since you are replacing, you can beat them off with a hammer.

If you plan on keeping the jeep for a long time, get a set with life time warranty.

You should'nt have to beat them off. They will come off easily when you pull the caliper.
