infinity gold removal?
So i just got a 1994 grand Cherokee and id like to remove the stock amp and replace it. i plan on running a sub with an aftermarket amp and the stock speakers off the head unit like i did in my old truck. the stock amp is connected to two harnesses and all i can figure is that 1 is inlet the other is outlet. and there is a small box next to the amp. is that a grounding unit? also if there is any kind of diagram that shows which wires go to what set of speakers. This is the first place ive looked for any kind of info.

Thanks. Now all I need to know is if that black cube is a grounding unit. Id hate to cut out half the system and miss any connection that could affect power distribution.

Attachment 79384 I believe that small black cube is like some kind of grounding unit. Does anybode else know what it is? |
Just put a self taper in the body somewhere as ground.. just dont reuse a ground, could give you feedback that will drive you slowly insane.

Thanks however that doesnt answer my question. My question is is that box a grounding unit?

Which side is it on? It's hard to tell from the picture, but is that anywhere near a fuse box? |
Its under the driver side rear seat. The amp is on the left and the box is on the right. No its not near a fuse box.

I honestly dont know what it is. I just want to uninstall the stock system and instal a custom one. The way its setup now it hits and my volts drop and lights dim.
