If you have a NO BUS on your dash and the engine turns over but doesn't start, the #1 suspect is a shorted crankshaft position sensor.
Try this. There is a connector for the crank sensor under the hood near the firewall/#6 injector. Unplug it. Now turn the key on. If the NO BUS message is gone, you have smoking gun confirmation that you need a new crank sensor. Buy it directly from Jeep if you need one for best reliability/longevity. Lots of issues with aftermarket units. Theoretically, anything that is shorted along the computer bus can create the NO BUS message (including the computer itself) but the lions share of the time, it is a shorted crank sensor. Good luck and keep us updated. |
Ya that's what I was thinking it was but I put a new crank shaft sensor and still no start but it doesn't have no bus anymore so it has me baffled
|
And also when I try scanning it to see what is wrong with my jeep it tells me not responding thanks alot to anyone who can help
