so some ***munch decided to break into my xj last night. he took the stereo and tried to take the entire xj... he shoved something into the ignition switch and broke it off.... i kinda need this thing to run cuz i dont trust my s10 lol
im limited on tools but i got the switch out of the jeep and im trying to take get the object out... in the mean time i am just going to rig up a few switches to hide away so i can start it.
my only probem is how do i get the steering column unlocked with the switch out?

cancel that i gott it taken care out of sheer luck haha unless i have problems getting the switch back in i think im good to go

You pulled the column apart or is the outter housing busted up?

Might be easier to just gran a new steering column and key from someone parting a 95+.

nope i didnt take it apart the guy that broke into it did that for me... i have a feeling some fuses will be toast cuz you can tell he was trying to touch random wires together.. (he must've watched a guy hot wire on tv and though he could do it too)
anyhow i got the switch fixed so i just need to put it back in but my roommate is distracting me with her jetta so i gotta go get that thing fixed (aka drive it off a cliff)
if i have any problems getting everything lined up to put the switch back in ill come here and start asking questions lol
